Description
An archive in APPLAUSE is a collection of plates, logbooks, and extracted data that originate from a specific instrument. The archive table contains one row for each plate archive.
An archive is defined by Institution, Observatory location, Instrument. Unique Identifier archive_id

Plate material also has been made available from Thüringer Landessternwarte Tautenburg.
The solar plates from the Einsteinturm in Potsdam are a contribution of the AIP"s Solar Physics Section with support by the European Commission"s Horizon 2020 Program under grant agreements 824064 (ESCAPE – European Science Cluster of Astronomy & Particle physics ESFRI research infrastructures) and 824135 (SOLARNET – Integrating High Resolution Solar Physics)
